ABM/ABP Livestock Transport Standards
The transport assurance scheme is jointly owned by ABM and Assured British Pigs (ABP) for the commercial transport of cattle, sheep and pigs. The ABM/ABP Livestock Transport standards focus on ensuring that the traceability of the product is continued and that the animals are transported in a safe and welfare friendly way. Farmers own transport is covered under the ABM beef and lamb farm standards whereas this scheme is for commercial livestock hauliers.
